Welcome to Finansyal ("the App"), a personal finance management application developed and operated by Nocta Media ("we", "us", or "our").

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal information when you use the Finansyal mobile app or web application at finansyal.vercel.app.

By using Finansyal, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the App.

📋 Information We Collect

We collect the following types of information:

• Account Information — your email address and password (encrypted) when you register
• Financial Data — transactions, accounts, bills, loans, savings goals, and budgets that you manually enter into the App
• Payment Information — for subscription payments processed via GCash, we store your subscription plan and status only. We do not store your GCash number, PIN, or any payment credentials
• Usage Data — basic usage information such as app version and error logs to help us improve the App
• Device Information — device type and operating system for technical support purposes

🎯 How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, maintain, and improve the Finansyal App
• Authenticate your identity and secure your account
• Sync your financial data across your devices
• Process subscription payments and manage your plan status
• Send you important account notifications such as subscription expiry reminders
• Respond to your support requests and inquiries
• Detect and prevent fraud or unauthorized access

💾 Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely using Supabase, a cloud database provider with enterprise-grade security. All data is encrypted in transit using HTTPS/TLS and at rest using AES-256 encryption.

We implement row-level security so that your data is only accessible to your account. No other user can view your financial information.

While we take reasonable measures to protect your data, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. We encourage you to use a strong password and keep your account credentials confidential.

🔒 Your Financial Data

All financial information you enter into Finansyal — including transactions, account balances, bills, loans, and savings goals — is:

• Stored exclusively in your personal account
• Never shared with banks, financial institutions, or advertisers
• Never used to make financial decisions on your behalf
• Only accessible by you and authorized Nocta Media administrators for technical support

💳 Payment Processing

Subscription payments are currently processed manually via GCash. When you make a payment:

• You send payment directly to our GCash number and submit your reference number through the payment form
• We verify your payment manually and activate your subscription within a few hours
• We store only your subscription plan, status, and expiry date — not your GCash number, PIN, or any payment credentials

More payment methods are coming soon. We will update this policy accordingly when additional processors are added.

🍪 Cookies and Tracking

Finansyal uses minimal cookies strictly necessary for authentication and session management. We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or third-party analytics that profile your behavior.

The web app uses browser local storage to cache your preferences such as dark mode and currency settings.

👤 Your Rights

You have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• Access — you can view all your data directly within the App
• Export — you can export your data as JSON or CSV from the Reports section
• Deletion — you can request deletion of your account and all associated data by emailing us
• Correction — you can update or correct any information directly within the App

👶 Children's Privacy

Finansyal is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any significant changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date at the top.

Your continued use of Finansyal after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
